The Star Picture House was completed in 1915. It's first sound film was shown in 1929. It suffered bomb damage during the war and was temporarily closed. It closed as a cinema in 1962 and re-opened as a Star bingo hall in 1984. It was demolished in 1986 and the site has become a filling station. |
